On August 20th, Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke made a campaign stop at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Our children’s advocate, Emilee Harris, was able to ask O’Rourke what he planned to do as president to ensure that all children recieve the health care that they need.
O’Rourke stated that he planned to make sure that all children were ready to learn and be their healthiest by expanding Medicare, which would eventually absorb CHIP and Medicaid – creating a guranteed public option that individuals could opt out of if they chose to stay on their employer provided plan.
To hear O’Rourke’s full response, watch the video above.
